BACHELORS IN INTERIOR DESIGN/FASHION DESIGN

Our three-year Undergraduate (UG) Interior Design program investigates how design may create distinctive experiences in space. The interior/fashion design curriculum prepares our students to conceptualize significant ideas and translate them into a constructed environment that positively influences and enhances the end-users experience in a continuously changing world where design difficulties are complicated.

We urge students to find creative solutions by adopting sustainable practices since they are pertinent to the present and continuously shifting environment and also an essential component of their educational experience.

Through exchange programs and joint learning modules with foreign institutions, students are exposed to the global community while being mentored by professionals in the sector.

Thanks to the program's fundamental ideals, students can think critically, take creative risks, and develop with a more significant societal effect. Through project-based learning, researchers have gained knowledge of topics including human needs, behavior, and psychology.

THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THIS COURSE:

With a curriculum incorporating art history, contemporary practice, involvement with local organizations, and speeches from visiting artists, you will be given various creative challenges every year. You will spend around 70% of your time in the studio developing your creation and expression, creative risk-taking, experimentation, and development abilities.

You'll combine studio work, theory, critical engagement with culture and society, and artistic practices in your studies. By examining topics like diversity, identity, and art activism, the course answers the needs of the modern, international design industry and invites you to participate in contemporary practice.

As an artist, you'll also learn various transferable skills, such as initiative, self-motivation, resourcefulness, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the capacity to work independently and collaboratively, and the capacity to reflect on and be constructively critical of your own projects.

PROGRAMME DETAILS

Bachelor of Fashion Design is a course specifically designed for curious and imaginative minds. Fashion design is the art of using fabrics, colors and ornamentation to craft different fashion items like clothing, textiles, jewellery, footwear and other accessories.

Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam)

Pass with 50% aggregate marksin 10+2 or Biology or equivalent. Relaxation to reserved category students as per State Govt. norms.
(5% relaxation to the students of North East states including Sikkim/ Defense Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrants)

Admission Criteria

Based on Merit in qualifying examination. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PH as per State Government norms.
